Camp provides children with the opportunity to connect with nature, to participate in human powered activities, and to benefit from personal and primary relationships. Because of Camp...™ so much is possible. How the camp experience has changed lives is one of the most powerful key messages we can share as camp professionals. The benefits of camp extend further than just childhood development. Camp, and the experiences of camp, defines us even as adults. Camp has changed many lives, introduced people to new passions, and broadened horizons.

After much time and effort, ACA has developed a public service announcement (PSA) titled Because of Camp...™ . The purpose of this Web-based PSA is to familiarize parents of camp aged children with the benefits of camp.

Because of Camp...™ consists of two similar videos containing fourteen celebrities discussing how their lives have been changed... Because of Camp...™ . The videos are about a minute in length and includes appearances by Emma Roberts, Hill Harper, Lisa Loeb, Kerri Strug, Michael DeLorenzo, Justin Chambers, Paul Adelstein, James Pickens, Blair Underwood, Sharon Lawrence, Frank Sesno, Glynn Turman, Ashlan Gorse, Lisa Raye, and others.
